Imperial announced a new strategy focused on Convergence Science
Central to the strategy are three flagship initiatives: the creation of four Schools of Convergence Science focusing on sustainability, human and artificial intelligence, health, and security; the establishment of the Imperial Extended Learning Institute for advanced skills training; and the development of the Imperial WestTech Corridor to stimulate investment and job creation. These efforts aim to foster interdisciplinary research, nurture talent, and enhance Imperial's role as a global force for good.
Further elements include the Imperial Class of 2030 programme to support diverse and talented students, the launch of Science Capital Imperial venture fund to boost entrepreneurship, and the Imperial Future Leaders Campaign for leadership development. Additionally, Imperial Global will establish international hubs for collaboration on global challenges, supported by the Sustainable Imperial initiative to lead in combating climate change and promoting sustainability.
The strategy underscores Imperial's commitment to pioneering convergence science on a grand scale, preparing leaders for a tech-enabled world, and establishing long-term partnerships to meet the 21st-century's most pressing challenges.
