Webinar on CRUK's New EDI Strategy

26 Nov 2025, 11:00 AM

Cancer is one of the world’s greatest health challenges and Cancer Research UK are determined to ensure that beating it means beating it for everyone.

To achieve this, they will support high-quality research into understanding and addressing the role of biology and its interaction with other contributing factors in shaping unequal experiences of cancer. They'll also ensure that the research they fund meaningfully includes underrepresented communities, so that implementing these innovations doesn’t deepen existing inequalities.

By funding and supporting a diverse and inclusive community of excellent researchers, they'll drive impactful research that benefits all.

Cancer Research UK's new approach is data-driven and focuses on areas where we can make the greatest difference in the next five years.

Thank you to all the patient representatives, researchers and partners who have helped shape this work.

Join us for an online discussion on 26 November, 11am- 12pm, with Shewly Choudhury, Head of Research Careers and Culture, and Mat Tata, Programme Lead for EDI in research. Together with a panel of expert speakers, they’ll preview funding opportunities, share insights from their work in tackling cancer inequalities and answer your questions about how to get involved.
