Dr Deokhee Yi

Dr Patrick Kierkegaard

 

Deokhee is a health economist at the Centre and a member of the Cancer Technology Catalyst.

 

She uses economic approaches to evaluate interventions and policies, assesses value for money of innovations and studies preferences for healthcare goods and services. She has extensive experience and expertise in econometric analysis of large datasets, cost-effectiveness analysis, economic modelling and discrete choice experiments.

 

Before joining the Centre in September 2023, she worked as a health economist at the Health Economics Research Unit, University of Aberdeen and Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care, Policy and Rehabilitation, King’s College London. She holds a master’s in public health from Seoul National University and a PhD in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill).
